Do you have car parking?

The car park is located across the road opposite the hotels’ outdoor terrace area. Please take the Buxton exit at The Square roundabout directly in front of the hotel, and you will see the car park entrance immediately to your right; the postcode is DE45 1BZ. Should our car park be full, there are several Pay & Display car parks a short walking distance from the hotel.


Accessibility

Due to the age of the building we do not have a lift at the hotel however we do have ground floor rooms in the courtyard across the road from the main hotel. These can booked on requested on. Our restaurant and bar facilities are all on the ground floor. For access to the first and second floors in the main hotel building there are 15 followed by 5 steps up to the first floor, and
then 17 steps up to the 2nd floor. In the courtyard building there are 7 followed by 9 followed by 2 steps up to the first floor. There is also one designated accessible parking bay for use by
overnight resident blue-badge holders, available foremost for the Accessible room. The accessible room offers a full wetroom, whilst other rooms are primarily showers over baths. Our restaurant on bar have steps up to them, however we do have an access ramp for the courtyard entrance. Please ask if you require this.


Are you dog friendly?

Yes, your four-legged friends are very welcome to visit the Rutland Arms, however we do have a few house rules: Firstly, dogs are welcome in all areas excluding the hotel’s main restaurant and courtyard bedrooms. You are welcome to dine with your well behaved dog in our bar, lounge areas, outside on our terrace. In regards to staying with us, please phone us direct to book a dog friendly room on 01858 438300. There is a small charge of £10 per dog, per stay.


What time is check in and check out?

Check in time is from 3pm on the day of your arrival. We cannot guarantee an early check in, however, if your room is ready before 3pm you are welcome to check in early at no charge. There is a guaranteed early check-in available for £20 (subject to availability, please contact reception prior to arrival date).

Check out is by 11am on the day of departure. There is a guaranteed late check-out available for £20 (subject to availability, please contact reception prior to arrival date).


What time is breakfast served for residents?

Monday – Friday           07.00am – 10.00am

Saturday – Sunday       08.00am – 10.00am

 

Do you have any family rooms?

We have a limited amount of rooms that contain a sofa bed or that a put-up bed can be added. Please contact the hotel directly to check availability.

Do you have secure bicycle storage?

We can fit up to 8 bicycles in our garage. Please contact reception prior to make us aware (as we get a lot of cyclists, and it could be full).

Do I need to make table reservations in advance?

We recommend making a dining reservation prior to arrival due to the popularity with guests and locals alike. We cannot reserve tables on our terrace or tables just for drinks; these tables will be available on a first come first served basis.

Can we store items in your fridges?

Due to Health & Safety we are unable to store any items in our kitchen fridges. Please contact reception with regards to storing medication.
